TransDID is Bullshit.
TransDID? What the hell is that?TransDID (trans dissociative identity disorder) is the belief that you can "transition" to have DID like you can with gender (i.e transgender), like they were meant to have dissociative identity disorder but (very likely) don't have it, some have even stated that they feel even dysphoric from not having these very real disorders. I am not a therapist or a psychologist of any sort, it is quite possible these people are experiencing something akin to Munchausen Syndrome/Factitious disorder.TransDID also falls under the "TransPlural" umbrella
> "Transplural, sometimes called transsystem, is a large umbrella term describing anyone with the experience of feeling like they should be plural or desire to be plural. It falls under the transid umbrella, and can refer to any form of plurality, including traumagenic, endogenic, disordered, and non-disordered plurality."
this is sourced from the transplural carrd, which I am frankly not comfortable linking.Wait... they said endogenic, does endogenics support transID folk?
Generally, no. The larger endogenic community does not support transplural or even the transID crowd due to various reasons: it's just not right in any situation and is fundamentally ableist. When you describe people who "want DID" you are talking about transDID and not endogenics.But... aren't endogenics and transplural the same thing?
No. As I have described already in what endogenics are and debunked it already. Endogenics are firm in the belief that they are a system (or plural) already but believe their plural was caused from means that wasn't trauma.
* links currently missing, sorry.TransPlural on the other hand, is the belief that these people were meant to be plural but are not* plural in any sense, so they are "transitioning" to become a system (TransDID, TransOSDD, TransEndo, etc). To my current understanding:TransPlurals and other trans[disorder] and trans[disabilities] are ableist. Endogenics are not.So... what else?
TransID means trans identity, they are part of the overall radqueer (radical queer) community. This community has a lot... of controversial identities to it; which includes things such as seeing yourself as transrace/transethnicity, even going so far as things like transNazi and other very harmful ideologies. Particularly with transrace (also called "race change to another"):> "It is racist to think someone can pick and choose parts of a race or culture they like, then distance themselves from that culture when it suits them. They avoid the burden of discrimination while reaping the rewards of white privilege, taking the necessary resources and voices from the communities who need it.> There is a difference between affirming your gender as a trans person, which doesn’t harm anyone else, and choosing to live and appropriate another culture."
source: the conversationThis does NOT mean you can fakeclaim someone who identifies as "transDID" because whether you like it or not they are still real people who is going through something, and do deserve help and the support to get that help. Call your local mental health provider, if you're in an emergency contact 911 (US), 000 (AUS), 999/112 (UK + EUR).TransID people are generally not evil, if anything they are misguided tweens or other mentally unwell people who are falling into very dangerous crowds, and many of transID people are under the age of 18, some as young as twelve (12).What they need is support to realize these communities are harmful, and help to get away from those communities.
I recommend these two videos by YouTuber Jessicur, who goes over the Radqueer community and how problematic they inherently, the second video is going over and talking to someone who previously was in the community but left.
